Project No. 6

Sam Furr designed this house to look as if has always been in The Preserve on Kiawah Island. While most homes in The Preserve have cedar shingle siding, this house has authentic wood lap siding and wrap around porches with multiple large mahogany French doors. The yard does a great job of secluding the home from the street. The home owner’s worked with Carolyn Griffith of Charleston to integrate their furniture and art into their new home. They selected a blue theme; the varying shades of blue present in different applications. The walls in the master bedroom are hand-troweled plaster that has been polished to a slight sheen.
